Cat Training

You might think I am talking about training my cat, but I mean just the opposite. My cat is working hard at training me.
He meows like crazy, a loud plaintive cry. So I go to see what is the matter. Well, so far, nothing is the matter. He just wants attention. And I give it because he is so damn cute.
He is doing a great job of training me. I already feed him, brush him and scoop out his crap. Now he has me coming when called.
I gotta get a backbone. Any suggestions?

You've lost. I think the electric water bowl was the sign of capitulation or is that catitulation?

Howard,

I think you're right. But hey, you also carried his lazy ass upstairs, remember?

That is one spoiled cat.

And I love the circulating water bowl!

suggestions?

Hell, just wave that white flag now. You go along to get along and cats are very devious ingenious little critters.

Paul,

Cats...hmmm...Maybe that's why I prefer dogs...at least they come find you when they want attention. Dogs are more energetic I think...But there you have it, your very own cat. Oh well...at least men are more energetic, at least some men. I think men are more like Dogs, they come when called, and when they need attention they find you. Ha ha.

Peter,

Some men come when called. Others put you on hold. :)

Hey Nancy, you have such a good heart rescuing a stray cat...but, cats do what they damn well please no matter what your expectations are. I had 3 cats years ago, the only time I got some attention was when they wanted to be fed. I just hope your cat doesn't come back home with a gift in mouth! Stay well!

Dogs have masters, cats have staff.

KW,

I liked him because he was so chill and laid back. So I totally knew what I was getting into. I'm very happy with him, honestly. I just like to make fun of him. Because he can't fight back.

He needs to get off his lazy ass and get a job!

Wish I had an answer to how to get untrained. My wife is trained by both cats and my daughter and I have no idea how to get her to change things a little lol. Good luck ... because some cats and kittens are sooooo cute and hard to say no to. ;)
