Tattoo

No, not da plane, da plane! Tattoo. I am thinking of getting a tattoo. I'm thinking of something on my upper arm, sort of like the one in the photo.

What do you think? Do you have tattoos? Do you like them? Am I just too old for this kind of thing?

I like tattoos. Not so half of someone's body is covered. But nice tastefuly done here and there ones. Of course, when my friend takes me, asks me to stay with her while she gets a tattoo and she is getting it right next to her woohoo and also drops trouser another time to show me the one on her butt ... well it makes me like them even more. :)

Never to old for a tattoo. You start thinking that way, and you will become old.

I have 3 myself. I'd get more if they weren't so damn expensive.

Frank, how funny! I can see where that might make tattoos all the more appealling!

Rico,

I do like your tattoos. And I appreciate your sentiment about being old. I might have to start out with a temporary one though, and see how I like wearing it.

Tatoos are cool as long as they are tasteful. I don't have one but have thought about it from time to time. A temporary one might be a great way to start, just to see if it suits you...I have a friend who had his wife's name tatooed on his arm...course then she ran off with some fireman...sigh...guess the moral of the story is be careful..

You've got to check out the tatts on my friend's blog - http://tiggsintexas.blogspot.com/

One guy got an awesome one of the Boston skyline. She has 4 tattoos herself and they're great.

Peter,

I agree about the tasteful part. And the more I think about it, the more a temporary one seems like the way to go, at least for now.

Megs,

Wow, that Boston skyline is pretty cool. Not that I would do one of those, but still it is pretty cool!

I didn't get my first tattoo until my 30's. I think I made the right choice. I knew what I liked. I knew it was permanent. I was not influenced by "peers" and I designed it myself with assistance from the artist. Henna or temporary ones are great'cause you can change the design and the location when you want until you find a design and location you want to make permanent.

Just about everyone in the world has a tattoo. They were cool when fewer people had them. Now they've become common, they've lost their mojo. And for christ's sake, Britney Spears has them!
Why not be the exception?

Hey sweetie, good to see you still here. As you know I have one, might think about getting another. You do it for you, no matter what age. That goes for tattoos too! Temporary one sounds like a good idea for you. And you're not old... just wiser and better! xo P
